The people who committed the Essex Murders should be entitled to claim royalties from all the films that have been made about them.

I wonder if they realised when they committed the murders that it would keep the British film industry going for the next 20 years.

The Carlton Leech story is pure fiction.

Lots of people say he wasn't even a member of the Essex boys gang but was just an acquaintance of the gang.

Which makes alot of sense when you think about it if you were a "former gangster" that had gotten away with loads of crimes you wouldn't be writing books about your alleged criminal career.

I watched the first Footsolidier movie a long time ago. Didn't watch any of the sequels. Didn't even know they were made until recently enough.

Are they any good? I know it depends on film tastes etc. But I liked the first one, and do generally like that UK violent/gang type movies.

Most of the those "former criminal"/celebrity criminals types are bullsh1t merchants.

Serious criminals are not going to be writing books about all the alleged crimes they got away with.

Like that Dave Courtney fella in the UK who claims to have murdered someone but was never convicted for it.

Nobody can be that stupid as to go and write about an alleged murder that they got away with even if they don't go into much detail.
