You'd have to say that the way things are going at present, there could be a 20pt gap between Celtic and Rangers this season.

Celtic didn't start off the season great, but once BR gets his injuries back, and he gets the team gelling well, they will only get better.

Hopefully St Mirren can continue their good form and provide some competition or celtic will run away with it!

And it looks like he's going to be replaced by an even bigger one in Lampard, the comedy roadshow will roll on!

Bad week in Europe for Scottish teams.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Just not of good standard for Europe in contrast to the national team!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

New Rangers boss, hope he gets them going to provide the annual champions league pass holders a challenge!

    Hold on Hibs!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Great result for Hibs, celtic couldn’t score against one of the worst defences in the league!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,211 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Didn't see game, but how often does a team who has put in a huge shift midweek in Europe fail to perform the next weekend?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

As much as i like Hibs a team like celtic should be able to beat them, anyway a great result and confidence booster for the Hibees!

Yes it happens. Feyenoord top of Celtics CL Group lost to FC Twente in their domestic league today. Our friend there that you quoted who started this apparently generic thread about Scottish football just likes to stick the boot into Celtic any chance he gets.

We drew yesterday at Hibs and he bumps the thread for that but we drew on Wednesday against a top European side, no bump there.

A few Rangers fans reverting to type in Dens Park last night letting off fire works and flares in the stands! The game suspended for a few minutes! They dont help themselves with this behaviour!

Supporting Hibs should come with Mental Health warning. Honest to God its been utter misery and what ifs since I supported them 33 years ago.

Blew another chance at final today. Should have had Stone wall penalty but we probably have missed it anyway.

Been better team in pretty much every game we have lost in Hampden since 2014 (bar league cup final in 2021)

Losing to 10 men another way to lose.

Aberdeen were rubbish , had a man sent off and still got through. Hibs goal should have stood!

Tavernier with a stunning free there to put Rangers 3-0 up in semi v Hearts!

Red card for Kingsley for simulation but then rescinded with a VAR check and a penalty to Hearts to make it 3-1

Great comeback from Aberdeen but it still puts them out of Europe!

Rangers 2-0 with a lovely goal from Cantwell!

Just reading a stat this morning.

Rangers have got 6 penalties in the last 4 league games, yet have not conceded a penalty in a league game in 2yrs.

    Amazing.

Aberdeen should pretend they are playing Rangers every week, they might win something!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Var pen gave the Gers an escape there! Created many chances but couldn’t finish !

New manager bounce gives Ross Co a win against in form St Mirren!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

This is type of manager that’s needed today! No these sit on the fence merchants!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Aberdeen hitting some form, fine win in Europe this evening. The league cup final on Sunday is not the formality most people expect now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Well done to the Scottish sides in Europe tonight!

Explains a lot about the bad feeling between the clubs. Alludes to Fergies time at Rangers as the start of it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

His feelings about Rangers fuelled his determination at Aberdeen!

He might be if this carries on, when's the next old firm, around NYE?

I see Beale is going to be the new Sunderland manager, the lad is blessed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

    Sunderland are fcuked so!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

If this result stays then Gers can win their two games in hand and go top!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Punching the feck out of each other in the stand, this is gold! From the excited heights of a dead rubber champions league win to this!

It was inevitable really after this seasons poor results!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Title race on again I think if Rangers win their games in hand!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

Whingy Derek has resigned from Ross Co, should have stuck with Malky!

I see Dundee voicing serious concerns to the Scottish FA over play not being stopped when their young striker was injured.

Be interesting to see how it plays out. Haven't seen whether the players had an opportunity to kick the ball out or not, but there saying the referee did not stop play immediately. The player is OK now, but the manager said it was an "almost life-endangering" moment.

I think players themselves have a role in how this pans out as well, as I'm sick of seeing players going to ground holding their heads, when they either weren't hit in the head, or they can jump up quickly enough if they have been ignored. Clearly in this case the young lad wasn't faking it, but players who do are just muddying the water and I can't see how the Scottish FA alone could be seen as culpable here.

Warnock not getting much from Aberdeen, 3-0 down v Motherwell!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭waywill1966

    Alba gu bràth

SPL kicks off today at 12.30. No doubt another season of just Celtic and Rangers at the top of the table, be nice if Hearts, St Mirren, Killie , Aberdeen or Hibs could mount a better challenge!

Celtic going to walk it again this year , Hibs look awful and could be relegated if this carries on. It’s up to the rest to compete with Celtic but they are only ones with money unfortunately and even Rangers are in constant transition and no where near. That leads to a bad league again!
