For a few months now, our ice cube tray has not been refilling automatically - there is a little water outlet that senses when the ice cube tray is empty and fills with water, then after a few hours the tray tips over by itself, emptying the ice and the process starts again.
I figure its a blockage at some point in the pipe carrying the water but I've removed as much of the top of the door as I feel comfortable with - would the best option here be just unplug the appliance and let the whole thing defrost and see if that resolves the issue?
If that doesn't resolve the problem, what would my next step be? Call an appliance specialist I suppose?
I've tried searching the internet for similar problems but can't find anything specifically on this topic and Kenwood customer service is a joke so not going there.
