Nothing said them at half time worked so, terrible again. Beirne who I didn’t cop was playing gave an awful hospital pass.

Ireland's scrum just collapsed there before HT. That's not a good look for a World #1 team. I don't know how Ireland can improve for the 2nd half if the rain is not going to stop falling down on the pitch at Bayonne. It's affecting every part of their gameplay when they when playing with ball in hand.

They need to look at the lineouts and the scrum. They are really critical to keep our team in looking like a solid unit when they go out to Paris in a few weeks time.

Not all of it has been bad though. Crowley and Hansen have been great to watch in this game. We need to see their link up play make more of an bigger influence in how they can connect with some of the other players on the pitch in eventually scoring more tries.

Those lads did that job perfectly for their first try from link up with O'Brien but then the intent of it had petered out due to the awful conditions out there on the pitch.

Ireland just need to keep focused on the intent of making those tries more attractive and more believable. Samoa are looking like they are a team that are looking to win a big scrap from us.

If Samoa win the game. That is going to give Ireland a big knock in their confidence when there is 2 weeks to the pool stages of the WC. If that 1st half was a blip with Healy out injured. It's going to take some doing to get over that disappointment.

POM is so important to the lineout. Any time he is missing you wouldn't have confidence when the opposition go after it. We have no other lineout specialist in the squad. Tough night out there with the rain. Maybe should be going for the smaller numbers in the lineout.

Why just kick there away aimlessly

Why why why kick that advantage when no one was ready for it. Panicking.

Big opportunity for Casey to take this game into another level when he comes on.

    Barnes is a dick head

    This is disgraceful from Ireland

Crowley looks better in a game we are losing than Byrne did in a game we were winning.

    That scrum looked more solid.

    Much better scrum.

Our speed getting the ball away from the ruck is way down on usual. I think Murray is playing his way into 3 choice here.

I am not sure playing South sea islanders is a good final game before WC. We are picking up a lot of injuries due to the physicality. I guess it will prep us for SA but Healy is a big loss. O'Brien took a big hit there and VDF is getting hammered.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Lovely dink from Stockdale, some difference when Murray puts a bit of urgency in his play.

Sometimes rugby really is a simple game. You have a functioning scrum, you have a functioning lineout and then you create a scoring opportunity.

V lucky with that try. Murray was ahead of kicker

Seems like a lot of teams are playing their cards close in these warmups.

    JOB gone off.

I guess Ross Byrne moves to 10 and Crowley to 15?

Stockdale is a confidence player. Good to see confidence returning.

    Woeful box kick by Murray

Byrne got lucky there, very good tackle in the end.

All that came from Murray taking an age at the ruck and then putting up a shocker of a kick.
