Post and Telecoms box in garden

Hi,

I have a drain type box with the letters P&T on the ground it in my front garden. The box is under a wooden fence that I would like to build a wall over.
Do you know who I should contact about this, is it ESB? I don’t mind if they move it into my garden further or out onto the path, just anywhere would be better than where it currently is, right on the properties boundary.

It possibly is old.
Is it a cast iron plaque or a concrete marker?

P&T is an Eir joint box... open it up and see if cables are going through it (it may just be access for the feed to your house only).
Eir won't move it without you paying.
If it has cabling in it, they will need to keep the access.
Best compromise I've seen is people putting a lintel in place over it, with a bit of space to still lift it out when needed.
