So this seems to be another thing that's just fallen to the wayside. In current affairs threads, it is seeming more and more common for users to ignore being thread banned then posting. Eventually their posts are removed but at what point do repeat ignoring of thread bans result in posters getting properly actioned? Cause if they're not, it just seems like ignoring will continue.

The old penalty for that was usually a forum ban. Not sure if a forum ban possible under new software.

Would it be possible for a single line to say why someone was banned?

There has been plenty of thread bans on the Russia forum, most for obvious reasons, but some for no obvious reason, and prior posts and warnings are automatically removed.

What difference would it make ,

Your either an banned for trolling or rack up enough reported posts to get banned, adding reasons why makes little or no difference,

It would help the rest of us know where the line is, since the forum rules are applied fairly arbitrarily.

I was shocked by your removal from the Russia thread, Gatling, I would have appreciated a quick one liner giving the reason.

I'd rather see if there isn't clear breach of charter then posters shouldn't be actioned regardless how many people have spammed the report button,it's a discussion forum people won't always share the same views but that doesn't mean people should be banned based off reported posts, since when has boards become a echo chamber or circle jerk with the biggest cliques getting the biggest say solely based off reporting posts they don't agree with,
