Car finance

Hi, I have upgraded my car that was on car finance from BOI. I took new finance which i will pay first time on the 17th. But on 01.09 from my account BOI still took money for old finance. Car dealer said it happens and I should get refund. Is that true?

Yes it has been known to happen but seek from dealer who I assume managed the new finance and the clearing of the old finance a letter from bank confirming previous loan is cleared.
