Just discovered that Miss Pat of Black Echoes has passed away. I remember listening when it was on the pirate Jazz FM, I seem to remember it appearing on Anna Livia/Dublin City FM at some point?

A few pirates in there as well as 2fm.

Black Echoes has been around since 1982 and did the rounds of various south Dublin pirates right up until 2003 (with Jazz FM being the last), and always presented by John Public. AFAIK Miss Pat got involved at some stage during the 1980s fairly early on and stayed with it ever since. Up until fairly recently, Black Echoes was on Saturday nights on Dublin City FM - certainly within the last year or so. I notice that it is not on their schedule anywhere now. Is it no longer on the radio? I have not been actively looking for it this year, but I do recall tuning in out of curiosity one Saturday evening this year and noticing that it was not on.

BLB was the Bray-based pirate that Back Echoes was also on during the 1980s.
