Bizarre broadcast on Sky News

I notices that on Sky News (the Republic of Ireland feed of the channel anyway!) has been showing non-news programmes in the past one and a half hours - The Cinema List and the sitcoms the Fresh Prince of Bel Air (the original version with Will Smith) and Modern Family, even though Sky News is still continuing as usual on the Sky News website.

What the hell is going on?!

The version on local cable in my area is still showing US sitcoms.

The problem is happening not just with that but also on Vodafone TV.

Yes I'm getting Entourage on my Irish Sky News via satellite. Saorview is coming up as normal.

Looks to be mirroring Sky Comedy as TV Guide matches.

You are receiving the broadcast via a cable provider right, and not directly from a satellite? I would call that provider and ask what is going on. I am fairly confident that the issue at not at Sky's end, but rather with whoever is taking their original feeds and feeding them them into the cable etc.

That's interesting if it's also the case via satellite. Could be an EPG mapping that has gone haywire? If you have a sat receiver where you can manually tune in a signal try to tune this (the 11836 H) and see what you get:

All gone back to normal now, boo. Just to be clear, it wasn't the Saorsat service I was using, just normal 28.2E Astra.

Reminded me of olden days when Cablelink would get the movie channels messed up and give them unscrambled for the night 😁
