Moving to self employed

Hi All,

Recently got let go and had to claim jobseekers for the first time - no issues

However, I was looking into registering a company and starting my own business, invoicing monthly, when I do land a client.

Would be job seekers be stopped if I register as a director of a company?

What do I tell social welfare when I land the client?

What impact does this happen on my payment?

Any advice would be appreciated

you are in receipt of jobseekers because you are looking for and available for full time work, and free to start full time work at very little notice.

If you register on ROS as self employed then SW will know almost simultaneously and will ask you if you continue to meet the conditions attached to that payment.

I wouldn't be Skeptical, Revenue & DSP share data all the time and have been doing so for quite some time, taxable income particularly. Your PPSN is known to both

Oki dookie, I'll let them know what the plan is and see if there's a more appropriate payment/claim and then I'll submit the BEN 10 form to the CRO
