    Hello,

What can BoI do to help elderly people who don't use internet banking? My parents like to get a statement in the post once a month but this doesn't seem to happen anymore.

I brought them into the nearest branch and we were told they couldn't print out a statement for them.

I did get my dad setup with internet banking about 5 years ago but he entered the wrong number on the card reader and locked it out and that was that.

What can BoI do to help?

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie.

If your parents were previously set up for online banking then this would be the reason why they no longer receive paper statements by post.

To change their statement preference back to paper statements then I'd advise calling our customer service desk on 0818365365 and my colleagues can certainly assist your parents further.

The team are available Monday- Friday from 9am- 5pm and Saturdays 10am- 2pm.

BOI branches do not have the facility to print statements. Your parents can certainly order a statement by post with my colleagues in their local branch or by calling our customer service desk on the number provided above.

    Thanks, Eve
