HKC GSM-SC - will it live beyond 3G sunset?

Hey Folks, Does anyone know what mobile technologies the HKC GSM-SC modules support? 3G (and maybe even already GPRS) is being turned off in Ireland soon (at least by vodafone: https://n.vodafone.ie/network/3G-upgrade.html). Will these modules continue to work? Is there a newer replacement that supports 5G? Thanks! C.

They use 2G sims.
2G sims are used in a lot of devices across Ireland for data so they are expecting a switch off by 2030

Where is stating 2030 as a matter of interest. I'm finding them disappearing regulations the moment . An opinion shared by CSL .
