Salary transfer to Deposit Account

Hi All, Can salary be received in a demand deposit (savings) account? I do receive money transfers in this deposit account like a normal current account. Can there be any restriction at the employer end to transfer salary into deposit account? TIA

In theory if the account has an IBAN it should be possible. But as we have seen here from time to time some employers payroll system or agent is unable to handle it because of limitations in their systems. So ask your employer if they are able to do it for you. That is the only way you can get an accurate answer.

I have been getting salary into a deposit/"cashsave" with AIB for years. It's only an IBAN you provide so would have imagined it should be fine. Just give them the IBAN and see.
