Israel is losing support from many countries due to its extreme conduct of the war on Hamas

It continues to bomb buildings and kill civilians in gaza theres no way they can go on like this for another 6 months this is causing divisions in the country they will have to start conscription amount the religious minority that does not usually fight in the idf Thousands of citizens are living in hotels as certain border zones are not safe to live in due enemy bombs and missiles launched by Hezbollah

They need to make a proper peace agreement with Hamas as the attacks from Hezbollah continue to get more serious and kill more civilians Launching more attacks on Lebanon is a road to ruin and chaos Hezbollah is well trained they have 1000s of missiles they could launch an attack on Israel that could be devastating Hezbollah has a practically unlimited supply of weapons from Iran of Hezbollah launched a large missile attack on Israel the iron dome defence system would be overwhelmed Iran continues to build drones that are more dangerous and sophisticated

I don't think Israel would survive a war with Hezbollah in 2024 there would be massive civilian casualties on both sides and Iran might also choose to attack Israel

The UK labour government is likely to vote to cease the sale of weapons to Israel I think the only logical solution is for Israel to make a peace agreement with Hamas on else they will face a descent into chaos anarchy and further attacks from Hezbollah

If Harris defeats Trump in the election maybe the democrats will put more pressure on israel to come to some kind of peaceful agreement with the Palestinians and Hamas

I think Biden has shown weakness as he has the choice to limit the sale of weapons to Israel

Meanwhile Israeli settlers continue to steal more land from Palestinians

Its hard to be optimistic right now as the cycle of violence continues with both sides firing missiles at each other

I don't think any of the major players actually want a big war, but there is pressure from below, so they need to bring their own people along with them.

Ignoring that means they lose political capital, which is what has happened to the PA in the West Bank (who are effectively administrating occupation for Israel, as some would see it).

Hezbollah doesn't want to follow the same path, so it's all a very fine balancing act.
