I’m coming to the end of carers benefit, which I had for 6 months, I’m going to need to extend it for another 6 months.

whats the process for this I can’t seem to find any info anywhere on it?

Carer's Benefit can't be extended, you will switch to Carer's Allowance.

Thought you can get it up to 2 years?

You are correct but you'll need to make contact with the section dealing with this benefit ASAP. I don't know enough about this benefit to advise on the process for extending it

Could anyone provide some information for me please I'm currently working 33 hours a week but my father needs more care if I apply for carers allowance or benefit do I have to reduce my hours below 18.5 a week before I can apply or can I reduce if approved.
