What are the main differences between the two schemes.

Is there the same emphasis on course completion on TUS that there is on CE?

    Two entirely different things

TUS is primarily further education, CE Schemes primarily work placement with some element of courses should a participant choose to do a part time course whilst on the CE scheme.

People 55 or over are not required to do courses on CE schemes but are occasionally assessed as to their performance. However CE participants become legally employee's of said CE schemes and whilst their salaries are paid by DSP, during their time on the scheme they are technically not in receipt of a SW Payment.

In both cases participants expected to complete placement or Course.
