Does anyone know what the protocol is with the PMC and SEAI grant for a new ev if one was to qualify for both? A car salesman told me that it is one or the other, not both.

You’ve a PMC and you want to get a new EV and have it modified to accommodate a disability? If so, it’s the PMC. You can’t get SEAI too.

Yes, that would be the gist of it. Funny, I have been two different possibilities with regards rebate and pmc. One yes to both and one either or. Both by car sales men. And what, if any is allowed for electricity after that?

In terms of PMC what is granted on a new vehicle?

I was refused the first time, I didn't have the right disability. I am in the process of contacting all my consultants, for letters to prove the severity of my disability and the benefit of the pmc to me.

So I attended my neurologist today. She is going to recommend me for a PMC. I still cannot figure why there is no allowance for fuel for electric vehicles.

Well, from what I know of it, there is a 9 or ten grand limit to what VAT and VRT that can be claimed back. This limit has not been increased in over 30 years from what I understand. So I wouldn't hold your breath for them to give PMC holders any allowances on electricity.
