Stanley twin burner gas fired Cooker - no power

The power plug to the cooker blew the 5 amp fuse. I changed the fuse and switched on again but the fuse immediately blows. Suggests there is another issue causing complete power outage in the cooker. Any ideas please?

Hi, the 5A feed on a gas cooker is just for the control, lighting and igniting systems on the cooker. If the fuse is blowing then you have either a faulty power supply for those items or a damaged wire. You'd be best off having a service-engineer look at it to see if he can isolate the fault as it's not easy to troubleshoot without a circuit diagram or access to the cooker. 🙄
