Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hyundai Coupe 2007 1.6 Indicators, dashboard light, back window defog not working

Hi. I recently came back from holidays after 3 weeks and restarted my car to find indicator lights, dashboard light (main light that usually lights up all dashboard) and rear window defogger not working.

Any ideas on how to go about fixing this? Could it be that several fuses have blown? Cause from research I know that it’s not the same fuse controlling all those things. Or could it be some short that’s happened that’s blown all those things?

Some help in how to go about fixing these issues would be really appreciated!!

Hoping you get definite answer but might it be dampness inside car causing connections (corrosion) to be bad at the switches. Seen it on an opel before when lying idle.

Thanks hanloj. How could I check out if that’s what’s causing it?

BCM (body control module) on these can be a bit fragile if I remember correctly.

Yeah some YouTube videos show similar erratic problems with BCM faulty. I guess I have to take it to a garage first to know if that’s the issue

To change the BCM I remove the old one and disconnect all cables and install the new one. Is there anything else I need to do? Should I leave the battery connected while doing that? Thanks in advance
