SEAI Grant stipulation

Hi, seai said they will replace parents windows, add insulation etc, problem is they currently run all the rads of big stanley solid fuel cooker. Fella that done the survey said they could keep cooker but it would have to be disconnected from rads and the grant would install oil to heat the rads. Parents have free timber and it heats house really well so don't want to switch to oil. Is it a stipulation with seai grants that the would have to switch to oil for central heating?

There is no grant for oil boilers.

SEAI surveyor said they would have to install oil central heating and unplug solid fuel from the rads. Parents don't want oil heating.

what scheme are they using for retrofit?

if it's available because they get a qualifying social welfare payment ( warmer homes ) details are here , they should be able to get just windows insulation https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/housing/housing-grants-and-schemes/grants-for-home-renovations-and-improvements/warmer-homes-scheme/

in the mid lands there is a just transition scheme and the goal is to get people off solid fuel but.im surprised if they are pushing oil as alternative
