hi,i bought a 75 inch tv from you guys 2 years ago,it came with a 6 year warranty,tv is great, and delighted with the long warranty, that being one of the main reasons for buying it,i love the big screen tvs,i watch alot of movies,i wanted to upgrade to an 85 inch, and sell my own one, i emailed your company and asked if i sold my own one, would the remainder of the warranty pass on to the new owner, and was told no it does not pass on,if it did i would be able to get a better price for my own one,i dont see what the problem would be passing on the warranty to another private buyer,i know your contract is with me,i could if i wanted to be dishonest, without you knowing, sell my own one and tell the new buyer that if ever a problem arises within the remainder of the warranty period, bring it back to me and id have you to repair/replace it since it, the warranty, would still be in my name, understand?but i dont want to be dishonest, and would rather be able to pass on the warranty, like if a person buys a new car with a long warranty,it passes on to the new owner,so as i dont want to do anything dishonest, ill have to keep the 75 inch for another while, why is it not allowed for the warranty to pass on, other than your contract being with me,? i mean if i sold the tv to a person down the road, and a problem occurred, its not going to be more expensive to have it fixed than it would be with me,anyway i hope you understand what im trying to say,and i will buy from you again, products and service are great, not to mention the 6 year warranty (-:

    Hi Sniperman.

    Thanks for the post.

It is unfortunately correct that our 6 year guarantee is non transferable.

It's mainly down to that if you sell your television to someone else, they did not buy the TV from ourselves and are therefor not our customer and not entitled to our 6 year cover which is for our VIP customers.

As they would not be our customer they would not be entitled to the benefits that our 6 year cover offers.

I Hope you can appreciate that our Guarantees are only for the customers that have purchased the product from us.

With the purchase of a car its a a manufacturer's warranty which covers it, a TV is really only covered for 1 year by the manufacturer and this would transfer to someone else purchasing your TV within the 1st year. However as it is our own 6 year cover we are talking about which is covered by ourselves it can not be transferred to a 3rd party unfortunately.

I do apologise about this but we have never allowed the transfer of our guarantees.
