It is mostly an outlet for HBO material from the US so dependent on what they are producing. HBO now under a lot of competition from Netflix and other streamers whereas before they were the serious alternative to the US networks.

There has been a writers and actors strike in the US which has hit scripted content very badly which would have affected Sky Atlantic in particular.
