Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure what is going on

I have a 2015 Octavia and every time it rains really heavy over night & next time I start up the car if I sit in the same spot there'll be a patch under the engine

It only happens when I start it up ,

So I'll come out start her up & move and there'll be a patch of oul/diesel under the egine, But when I get it checked during the week there no leak to be found

There's no egine light on & still oil in the car , I'm baffled, I even parked it in a different spot but the same thing happens after a nights rain

Would there have been oil spilled at one stage and the rain washing it down strange alright?

Maybe , it got an oil change about a month ago,

    It's very very strange ,

Seem now there is a problem ,

I checked the oil this morning & itwas very low, So I topped it up with oil & looked like literally just poured the oil straight to the ground must be a leak in the oil pan

Ye, don't drive it without oil or you'll wreck it.

Sounds like they didn't put the sump plug back in correctly and it's now gone/failed, that'd be where I would look first. Engines don't just randomly start peeing oil for no reason, there has to be a substantial hole somewhere. You'd only get an small drop if it was a failing seal or something.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Diesel you said have you looked around the engine compartment for wet stains around the oil filter and oil light switch. Sure enough dipstick tubes fail also. Is there a splash shield under the sump or exposed.

Oil leak is a leak and does not matter if wet or dry.
