Aer Lingus Dub -> MCO fares

Pretty shocked to see the Aer Lingus fares for Dublin to Orlando for September 2024 at ~€500 per person each way. Looking at €2,000 for two people return!

Past couple of years the fares for this route were ~€320-350pp each way. They released at this price from day 1, so its not a case of the flight being booked up.

Anyone know if this is a pricing mistake or what's going on? Totally mental prices

Strange, seems to be pricing out around €1007 return for all dates in sep / Oct next year! Cheaper taking aa through PHL or ORD or any of the other American carriers. Wouldn't pay that premium for the non stop route.

Try AA.com … partnering with AE, fares are cheaper for the same flights

    Shop around yes.

    United via Newark another option.

Having flown direct and through ORD (Chicago for those who aren’t familiar), I absolutely would pay the premium to go direct.

Most airfares are rising but fwiw we spent €2,700 for 3 people in 2018 (in August) on the same Aer Lingus flight. It’s just always going to be a popular route

The previous year we went out through Chicago and home via Philadelphia and I would never fly to Orlando via Chicago again
