Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Finishing a wooden floor

I got a wooden floor put down "between" the existing skirting boards instead of being installed and then the skirting boards fitted on top of it.

As a result there are gaps between the wooden floor and the skirting. Is scotia what I'm looking for to finish it?

Also, what am I looking for to finish off the flooring / carpet transition?

    Are they both DIYable?

Scotia, yes, if that's that finish that you want. It does hide the transition but at the loss of a couple of additional cm's to the wall (for any furniture which sits tight to the wall).

For the carpet to wood you need a z-trim, see page 58:

Woodies should have these but if not then try a local builder's merchant.
