Limerick City and County Council Clerical Officer campaign

Hello. I received an email recently that I got on the CO panel. I'm currently working in the public sector anyway but wondering what it's like working as a CO in Limerick CC? If I am offered anything is there some departments better to work in other departments? Also do I begin at entry level pay scale or will I start on the scale I'm currently on. Thanks.

Hi , just wondering were you waiting long between applying for the county council, to getting the aptitude tests to interview?

I didn't have an aptitude test. I had an interview and a few weeks later was given my panel position.

Oh right thanks! I just presumed it was the same as the civil service/hse. We're you waiting long for an interview from first applying can you remember?

Oh it was a good few months tbh I thought they weren't going to get back to me at all.

Nope still haven't reached my number in my batch and I'll in the top 10 since December!

Oh no way ,hopefully your number will come up soon. Any tips for the interview?

Learn as much as you can about your local council and expect situational questions like describing a time you worked well as a team member to solve an issue etc etc.

Yes it came up a couple of weeks ago but I decided to stay where I am for now hoping the chanve for promotion will come up soon.
