Something that cheap will likely become part of a botnet, should you connect it to the internet.

    For example:

I wouldn't be particularly concerned if they wanted to video tape local scrotes in my area.

Main concern is that it will work.

I was looking at "Blink" by amazon in Curry's.

One concern is scrotes could just pull or rip it down as it's not actually screwed into the wall, just clipped onto a fixture.

And secondly I don't have conventiona WIFI in my place.

I just use my phones hotspot.

Can it connect to this directly, without a router?

Could data usage be an issue with something like this also?

I use mobile hotspot so there's limitations.

If it's motion sensing however, should only turn on occasionally, saving data I'd assume?

I would get a SIM from 48.ie (7.99 a month), or one of the other cheap SIMs. Near unlimited data. And get an unlocked 4g hotspot and leave it plugged in.

If your camera became a member of a botnet, it would most likely be used for Distributed Denial of Service attacks which would eat up your bandwidth and potentially take you over your data cap, ultimately costing you money.

    I got that camera.

Turns out the main issue is that the app only runs on a mobile.

Is there no wifi camera where its controlling/interphase app can be installed on ones computer or laptop?

This is what I need cause then I can just use my phone hotspot as a wifi router.
