The follow-up from Jeymes Samuel after the rather excellent "The Harder They Fall", I'm honestly not sure what to think of this; brave move in this day & age to basically work Jesus into your movie - complete with apparent superpowers - and it not be an ostensible religious movie in a Yay, Christianity! kinda way.

It's also one of those "we're gonna show a potted summary of the film" trailers by the looks of things, so perhaps even Sony's not quite sure how to market it. I wonder what the kneejerk American Conservatives are gonna make of it.

Saw the trailer a few days ago and did have a good laugh watching.

Hard to know if they can keep up the laughs and story for two hours though.

The film has been pulled from it's January release in the UK and might get a release date in March.

It bombed over last weekend at the US box office.
