Vodafone Gigabox Power Failure

I had Vodafone FTTH installed a few months ago (Aug/Sept?). Woke up this morning and the Gigabox was completely dead. No lights, nothing. Contacted vodafone, who said it was a hardware failure and they'll arrange for an engineer to come and replace the Gigabox, but it will be a few days.
Curious to know if this is common or has happened to anyone else?
