Can I use the EIR FTTH router instead of the sky one??

A shot in the dark but could I use an EIR FTTH router instead of the SKY one?? I know sod all about sky hub but a little about the EIR one. The sky fibre is SIRO and I noticed goes to a LAN port marked WAN and not the usual WAN. I assume it may be a different protocol but not sure. And what type of router could I get to…

Yes it will work if you setup PPPOE on just about any router.
Try these setting, if they do not work Sky shoulld be able to provide you with setting that do work.

Auth: PPPoE
Username: anything@skydsl
Password: anything
VID(vlan): 10
