Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Removing gas fire and chimney from living room

Typical wooden framed house 3 bed semi

I want to remove the gas fire, the entire fireplace and the hearth in our sitting room. We never ever use the fire and it takes up so much space.

I figure there will be some structural work required if the chimney has supporting structural elements, but has anyone done this before and roughly how much does it cost?
