Exchanging Dollars

Daughter (14) has 70 dollars and wants to change thrm to euros.....TSB dont exchange money. Anyone know where she can change money to euros?

I'd say the only way is to lodge them, or you to lodge them, if she doesn't have an account, and then take the value back out via card/ cash withdrawal.

I don't think any bank will do a direct exchange.

Are you in, or do you have access to, a credit union? I'd be surprised if they wouldn't take dollars.

Don't An Post do commission-free exchange for Dollars and Pounds in Post Offices? I've never been, but thought that was thier whole shtick.

If you're in Dublin, JWT on O'Connell St near the spire used to always be the best for anything to do with currency exchange. Haven't been in years though.

According to Dr. Google, Post Office don't buy cash.

But Fexco seem to, and that operates in most credit unions.

Yep, you're correct. They sell dollars in cash or currency card, but the don't buy it
