Dehumidifier causes smoke alarm to go off when it's turned off

I bought this dehumidifier a few weeks ago. It's been working well especially as we dry our clothes indoors on a clothes horse a lot. Anyway for some reason when we turn the dehumidifier off(Either unplugging or pressing the power puttin) it causes the smoke alarm to activate for a few seconds. Really weird, any ideas what…

Really weird, any ideas what causes this?
Is it anything to do with the way the house it wired up perhaps? Our house is relatively new build with smoke alarms in every room and all connected centrally to some test buttons in the utility room
