Hi folks.

Headskimmer crossword, Irish Vintage Scene, 2023, can anybody help with clue 29 across "Maker of white tractors and fast cars bearing his initials", two words, 5 letters and 6 letters.

David Brown made white tractors and was involved with the 'DB' Aston Martin car.

Doesn't fit the word numbers '5 and 6' though.

Yeh, it fits but technically they didn't make white tractors.

Yes. But Aston Martin never made tractors. If the answer is 'Aston Martin' the clue is slightly misleading

I should have said that the last letter of the second word is "e". Lamborghini made tractors and cars, but of course it does not fit. Thanks to all for your contributions

I think the crossword compiler might think it’s ‘Browne’ as well.

It looks like Leyland. Anagram of Laden and Ly (take LOP off Polly). But that does not fit your pattern if your L is correct?
