Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Need a bit of advice. Looking to buy and build a family home in Donegal for our family. Husbands mum originally from the county as his all his maternal side hence why we would like to relocate to the county for our Children. Every site we see is for local needs etc and since we don't live in the area have we any chance of getting planning if we purchased a piece of land? One site we saw did have local needs section 47 restriction but has full planning etc . Are these sites completely out for us? My husband was not brought up in the county but visited often growing up and loves there. We would be selling our current home to finance so we don't want to do anything and then end up homeless with our young family.Sorry for all the questions and any help/ advice appreciated. Thank you

Your husband is not local so you would not meet local needs. You also don’t work in the county. You need to buy a site with forward planning permission (hens teeth) or more likely buy an existing property,
