What really rammed it home was after the woman was shot, he turned to the labour camp commandant and said "tear it down, rebuild it, just like she said".

One of the best ever examples of the horrors of the ethnic cleansings of WW2 in brutal terms. The greatest screen villains have always been the ones that were real, Amon Goeth being arguably the most disturbing put to film, Fiennes was outstanding in that role.
