Attic water tank has no drip tray

Hi everyone, I own a new build that didn't come fitted with a drip tray under the water tank in the attic. I wanted to get one installed. I know where to buy the right ones, but I'm not sure where the tray overflow pipe would be connected. Would this pipe just merge with the tank overflow pipe? Thanks!
