Mondeo - 2 elec problems

Hi

Looking for some help with two problems that have come up on my 2013 mondeo:

1. It was frosty yesterday and I tried to put down the two front windows but both were stuck with ice so I just waited for a few mins until the frost melted and I didn't put them down. Fast forward a few hours later and I try to put them down but both will only go down ~1cm, no further but will go back up okay. Back windows go down fine Sorted now; as below, this is a safety feature and can be reset by holding the window down button for 5-10 seconds. Thanks @tenreds

2. The parking sensors are no longer working; when I put the car in reverse, I hear a long loud beep and the parking sensor light doesn't illuminate. I got a car wash just before this started happening so I'm thinking that might have something to do with it?

Unlikely but might be worth a try Disconnect battery for few hours might reset things

From what I remember, the window thing is a safety feature so you don’t burn out the motor. Can’t remember how to reset it but think if you google it you’ll get an answer

Tried this but no good. I cleaned all 8 sensors and noticed that the front left inner was slightly loose - I clicked it back into place but no joy so I've ordered a replacement and will replace that on each sensor in turn to see if that works.

With ignition on put car in reverse. Go around and place finger on each sensor gently, you should feel and hear a slight vibration. This may help identify if it’s an individual faulty sensor or bigger issue

Tried this but wasn't able to detect anything on any of the eight sensors. I also replaced the sensor that I thought might be faulty but no luck.

Anyone able to recommend an ODBII connector for use with Forscan so I can diagnose the problem? Looking at this one but would buy from an Irish/EU site if there's something similar available

Went with this one in the end:

That was delivered yesterday and it seems like it's the right rear outer sensor that's causing the problem so hopefully once I switch that out, it'll do the job

Before I get to that though, my alternator is shot and I'll need to replace it - anyone know whether the alternator on a 2013 mondeo 16. tdci is accessed from the top or the bottom? It doesn't seem to be easily accessible from the top from what I can see
