    Hello

Seeking clarification on a few things if anyone can help.

Can i claim back tax relief on dental visits - Cleaning\xrays\fillings?

Can i claim on my parents medical bills who are both Pensioners - If so do i need to pay for the treatment by cash or card - and does the receipt need to be in their names or mine? If they have paid for treatment am i still allowed to claim back?

We have had a bit of bad luck with the dog - she needed a new ACL - Costing us approx 1200 in vets bills - Can i claim tax releif om my smallest dependant?

    Many thanks

    1) You only get tax relief on non-routine dental expenses, which excludes fillings, cleaning and extractions. If your treatment qualifies, you dentist will give you a Med 2.

    2) You are entitled to relief if you pay the bills. If they paid the bills thy are entiteld to relief. You don't get relief, if they pay and you reimburse them. You should try to get a receipt saying "received from gazzaman €500 for treatment to Mrs gazzaman senior". Even without it you are entitled to relief for paying the bill - but proving that to Revenue in the event of an enquiry might be harder.

    3) Sorry - dogs are not included!
