Looking for thoughts on living in the Waterville/Blanchardstown area.

I'm currently renting in Sandyford but looking to buy an apartment somewhere within a 40 min cycle of the city centre and Blanchardstown seems to fit what I'm looking for (nice parks) and within my budget. My budget would be c. €325k for a 2-bed.

I like living in Sandyford but it can lack a sense of community at times. Is Blanchardstown any different in this respect?

I dont know that part of Blanch, but the south side of Dublin in general is much better facilitated and the community in Sandyford will grow with all the new developments.

It is more expensive though and not much comes up for sale, sadly.

Lived there for many years. It varies cluster to cluster to be honest, some have a better vibe than others. Generally very safe and a pleasant place to live. So many amenities in the area too. Biggest downside for me is no public transport direct to the airport

If I'm searching for something in Blanchardstown, I'd look on the south side of the N3 where there are several nice apartment blocks including Clonee, Coolmine, and Clonsilla.

Blanch can be hit and miss depending on the area, would you look at Drumcondra/Glasnevin? Closer to city, botanic gardens near by, some nice options
