NCT repairs help!

Hey

I know nothing about cars so was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with this.

Car failed for two worn track rod ends & 2 anti roll bars brushes, as well as 'repeat slide slip test'...which is what?

Just wondered if this is something I should bring in to my mechanic or will a First Stop type place be able to sort it?

Also any rough guesstimate as to what I can expect to pay? :)

I’d say €250 to €350. Usually best to bring to a mechanic

Minor repairs.

The side slip test is the wheel alignment as your alignment will be upset doing that work so you will need to fork out for a wheel alignment too.

As I dont know what car it is, I could guess at 120 quid for the parts, 50 quid for alignment and labour which shouldn't be huge as easy job.

It depends on the waiting list at your mechanic. Many mechanics have 3 week back logs of cars waiting on work and retest should be performed within 28 days or you do a full test. First stop type places may be more expensive and more cowboys but the queue tends to be shorter.
