Just booked cheap flights on the ryan air sale to Trieste, Italy. Anybody been and have any recommendations for things to see and do and places to eat and drink? Cheap/expensive?

Lovely city, plenty of great places to eat, just avoid the traps around the grand canal and plaza. You can make a trip up onto the hill with the church on it, I sadly didn't make it that far. Day trips to Slovenia are easy done.
