We have an inside firebird 50/90 oil boiler that has trived on neglect for 20 odd years, We had a problem with our boiler last winter and herself called out this plumber and he fitted a second hand control box and charged 150 and off she went again, but now It's at same thing again turning on and cutting out after a few minutes and I suspect it's control box again. I see they are about 100 quid new and look handy enough to fit and was thinking of having a go, did anyone fit one of these and how did they get on.
