Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone have or know of anyone with Volvo VIDA diagnostics? I'm in North tipp but willing to travel.

Anti skid service message on a 2005 XC90. It could be any number of things, but my own obd2 tool doesn't go deep enough. I'd rather pinpoint the issue before loading up the parts cannon.

It's possibly the clock spring, if it is, that needs to be coded in, so actual VIDA would be ideal.

    Ta.

Most decent diagnostics (launch, autel etc) can do everything Vida can and more, abs control unit is a common failure on that era of xc90

To confirm it is the clock spring, with engine running in a stationary position turn the wheels fully left and then fully right and return to center, turn off ignition, restart and then drive in a straight line for about 200-300m and that should reset the error code and eliminate the anti skid service warning. Sounds ridiculous but it works when a faulty clock spring is the culprit. Once cleared the error code will re-ignite when the damaged section of the clock spring is activated again, either a hard left or right turn usually.

This seemed to do the trick for now, thanks.

So it seems the clock spring is the culprit... does anyone know if I pick up one second hand does it need to be "un-married" from the donor car first, before programming to the "new" car?
