Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Paris parking charges triple for heavy cars

In the news today - and generally referred to SUV parking costs, but in reality its a move that could significantly make heavy cars less attractive - 1600kgs for petrol/ diesels and 2000kgs for ev's is the cut off- above that parking charges could be 18 euro per hour.

Won't impact the farmer who needs a proper suv for towing, but it could cut down on the likes of the X6 or Q8 on the school runs.

Could we expect to see similar in Ireland?

Worth pointing out that the rule doesn't actually affect Paris city residents - only people who drive there from outside.

Workers in the city and residents are exempt. Hence they didn’t vote on its implementation either. I heard.
