Live on RTÉ 2 and on ITV regions

    Teams line out as follows.....

    England: 15-Steward, 14-Freeman, 13-Slade, 12-Dingwall, 11-Daly, 10-Ford, 9-Mitchell; 1-Stuart, 2-Marler, 3-George (capt), 4-Itoje, 5-Chessum, 6-Roots, 7-Underhill, 8-Earl

    Replacements: 16-Dan, 17-Genge, 18-Cole, 19-Coles, 20-Cunningham-South, 21-Care, 22-Smith, 23-Feyi-Waboso

    Wales: 15-Winnett; 14-Adams, 13-North, 12-Tompkins, 11-Dyer; 10-Lloyd, 9-Williams; 1-Thomas, 2-Dee, 3-Assiratti, 4-Jenkins (capt), 5-Beard, 6-Mann, 7-Reffell, 8-Wainwright

    Replacements: 16-Elias, 17-Domachowski, 18-Griffin, 19-Rowlands, 20-Basham, 21-Hardy, 22-Evans, 23-Grady

Verdict; An out of sorts England made hard work of seeing off Italy last week, even looking like losing at several stages of the game. A few training room tweaks after an inevitably hard week of traing for an unchanged starting 15 may have been enough to sharper up the rose thorns, not to mention some encouragement from their usually cynical media.

Wales on their other hand turned up in Cardiff 40 minutes late, almost catching up a severe first half whipping that disgusted choirs nationally. If the second half team make good then this could be game on, not to mention the annual gee up that the annual game offers up the Welsh.

    Home win, 29 25 ish.

Think this will end poorly for Wales

Yellow, maybe a red by letter of the law

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,807 ✭✭✭Eoinbmw

    Harsh

Ah if that's a red the game has lost the plot.

    Good lord, Rugby is gone

Never a yellow, how much lower can he go

Ah. The traditional card for accidental head contact. 2nd of the day. Really really not convinced cards are changing behaviour. Because it’s not deliberate or premeditated I don’t think it’s surprising - rugby is a contact sport

Chessum has his his right arm hanging straight down, not attempting to use it to wrap

This is the worst 14 minutes I've seen in a while. Neither team can even execute their limited game plan.

    So silly by roots.

Looked very likely to be held up had it gone over the line

Wales need another score while they have a 2 man advantage

    Another poor game.

England down to 13 now, next few minutes will be interesting

    Christ that's poor from Wales.

Well done by Earl , but that's awful defence

    Wales conceding a try against 13 😂

That's some drive, fair play Earl.

Shocking from Wales, great response from England. Itoje playing really well so far

This game is a comedy of errors so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,807 ✭✭✭Eoinbmw

    Is this game a parody?

We are going to completely dismantle both of these teams.

Ireland will stick 50 on Italy tmrw to restore some normality

If this was a training game, both teams would be doing laps by now to get them to take it seriously

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,373 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

In terms of the standard this is looking like the worst 6N in year's.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,437 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

Anyone know how much tickets were for this? Haven’t mentioned it in at least 30 seconds on RTE

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,072 ✭✭✭joseywhales

Honestly, I think there's a less than 50% success rate at every phase of play.

  • Moderators, Politics Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 15,582 Mod ✭✭✭✭Quin_Dub

God this is awful, 25+ phases back and forth across the 22..

    Dreadful

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,759 ✭✭✭✭klose

20 odd phases and nowhere near England's line

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,373 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

I'm less fearful of us playing England away by the minute. I still expect they will do enough to win this.

Totally agree, I thought that was going to be a real challenge, but not so much anymore.

They'll get the job done here, but only because Wales are that little bit more crap.
