Removal of smoke smell in room

How do u remove the smell of smoke from a carpet lined bedroom?

Anyone any tips or method that worked for them.

Tried the carpet nuteralizer and hoovered but didn't make the difference I was hoping for.

Any chance there's a stash of cigarette butts hidden anywhere?!

Washing the carpet properly should help, but if it's long-term you'll need to wash the ceilings and walls too to get it off.

If there are curtains they'll hold a lot of it too, so clean them too. Put them in a bin bag in a different room for a few days - see if it helps the room and then see if the bag smells.

Have patience with yourself though. If the smell was a long time building up it won't go overnight.

Ventilation?

In our kitchen in the morning you could smell what was made for dinner the evening before, and if the cylinder was low you could smell gas from the hobs
