Ha ha. Good point. And just reminded me - I meant to ask something in the last post.

I often put a few cans into the freezer (have them almost frozen). And then bring them into gigs. Get a plastic cup in there. And by that time, the cans are a just nice cool temperature. It by far beats the plss served at these outdoor gigs. I usually get away with getting 3 cans tucked inside trousers belt. And 2 little bottle of red wine in my pockets. Sometimes it works e.g. getting into 3Arena, Vicar Street, Springsteen etc. But sometimes the patdown is a bit too intense, I get nicked and I end up sculling a couple of cans outside the gig and then going in (not ideal). Any idea what it's like in Marlay. Presume they have some form of searches. I guess one issue I would have will be going in at 5pm, when presumably it will be quiet, and security have plenty of time for pat-downs.

    Sorry for going off topic.

Ok. You're a fan. I used to love them too. But the songs haven't aged too well except for Bitter Sweet.

Or maybe I just overplayed them when I was younger and lost the love after a while. Dicky Ashcrofts voice kinda grinds at me now too. A lot of the songs are like Oasis, where the sentences finish off with a type of whiney decibel. Anyway, sorry, I shouldn't be bashing them. Like I said, I used to really like them. And I will still enjoy them tomorrow and sing along

Wild guess at a set, dark matter songs based on what's been done last leg so guess they'll stay. If they play none of the below it'll still be great

    Pendulum

    Nothing As It Seens

    Betterman

    Why Go

    Scared of Fear

    React Respond

    Wreckage

    Given to Fly

    Dark Matter

    Dance of the Clairvoyants

    Daughter w/ It's OK

    Jeremy

    Even Flow

    Upper Hand

    Running

    Porch

    Won't Back Down

Man of the Hour w/ Glen (for Shane mcgowan)

    Breath

    Black

    Do The Evolution

    Alive

    Smile

    Rocking in the Free World

    Setting Sun

A typo by the seller, or just someone who wanted to offload? Either way, I'm very happy.

Hurrah - not that fond of him, he's an awful bore, no offence lol!

Great set list above - exactly what I'd be looking at, throw in Garden and spin the black circle and we've a deal 😊

You could walk to Balally Luas (20-30 minutes walk), take the green Luas into town and the red Luas back out to the Red Cow. Would be more than an hour between the two trams.

Or hang around at the Eden, wait for the dust to settle and grab a taxi later on.

    Nice.

Don't know why anybody buys tickets for marley park at top prices. I've never paid more than 40 to 50 quid and three of them last time were gold circle. (Green Day, GnR, Chili Peppers)

There does be tons of them on sale leading up to the day.

The fear of missing out I suppose.

    Hi!

Do any of you know approximately how many tickets have been sold / the expected audience size tomorrow?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,171 ✭✭✭Jaffa3000

The merch prices seem reasonable for 2024

Latest email - so gold circle entry and also chance for GA ticket holders to get to the pit (my interpretation!)

    "Hello,

Read on for important ticket information and what to expect for Pearl Jam in Dublin on June 22.

    GA Pit Entry: 3:30pm
    Public Doors: 4:00pm
    The Murder Capitol: 5:45pm
    Richard Ashcroft: 6:55pm
    Pearl Jam: 8:15pm

    *All times subject to change

Special Instructions for General Admission (GA) Pit Ticket Holders

All GA Pit Ticket Holders will need to enter through College Road Entrance.

A note from Ten Club. The GA line is first-come, first-served. In the past, fans have used their own fan created numbering system to save a place in line. The numbering system will not be tolerated. Anyone participating in this fan created queueing system will be sent to the back of the line. It is the Ten Club’s position that those who put in the time to wait in the GA line all day should be the first in the door.

GA Pit Early Entry Rules and Etiquette

    • The GA Pit entrance has been predetermined, but is subject to change on the day of the show. This is unlikely to happen, but if it does, you will be directed to the new entrance via signage and venue security staff.
    • DO NOT RUN! Anyone that enters the venue and starts running will be stopped by security and escorted to the end of the line. We know there’s a lot of excitement and energy that builds while waiting in line, but this is a strict rule. So be safe, have fun, and DO NOT RUN!

What to Expect on the Night of the Show

Give Yourself Extra Time and Plan to arrive early.

If you are the ticket holder for others, keep in mind you will all need to enter at the same time.

    Safety and Security

Marlay Park allows guests to bring one clear bag that does not exceed 14″w x 14″h x 6″d in size or one small clutch/purse/wallet that does not exceed 4″w x 6″h x 1.5″d in size.

    Enjoy the show!"

Just received this via email from ticketmaster. Well that's an inconvenient walk from the Nutgrove shopping centre...

Is GA pit different than gold circle?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,519 ✭✭✭ILikeBoats

I got my poster in Whelans, happy to have that out of the way. It was a strange system but it worked.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,731 ✭✭✭delbertgrady

The semantics here are potentially going to cause confusion. "GA Pit Ticket holders" are Gold Circle ticket holders. Nowhere in the email does it ever use the term "Gold Circle," despite the fact that they were sold with that moniker. A GA ticket won't get you into the pit.

Presuming you can enter gold circle/GA pit from the normal GA area. It's just the early fans who want to be on the rail can go in via college road

I forgot about Thats when I Feel It and C'mon People.

Richard will have them rocking tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,171 ✭✭✭Jaffa3000

Is that for 10 club members? Got a non 10 club gold circle ticket and didn’t get that email

  • Registered Users Posts: 120 ✭✭rainagain

I'm a 10 club member. The email makes a bit more sense that it was only sent to club ticket holders, so they get early entry.... And I notice "The Murder Capital" get the American spelling "Capitol" 😂

Also means non 10 club people were given slightly different set times in their earlier email.
