Only If you have had your station meetings can you realistically expect an offer for December or march,if like myself you havnt then Unfortunately we are in for a long wait.

I have near 80 people on my form B so I know I'm in for the long run. If you have a small family and have never lived abroad you really shouldn't be waiting that long. Others like me will have to just rough it out, don't put your life on hold for them and when the offer comes then see if your in a position to take it, if not then deffer it till the next intake. Il be hopeful of March intake, December is increasingly unlikely now as I haven't had my station meeting yet and even after the meeting you can still be waiting weeks for an offer.

I have mates who went through this process rapid and others just left waiting.

I'm batch 2 just waiting for station meeting, hopeful of March intake. I wouldn't be able to take a last minute offer for December.

Yeah was hoping for December after getting the call about availability to accept a December intake offer. But as the days go on it seems less and less likely.

Just to give you all a heads up I have been back and fort with HR on the phone the past few weeks, my form B keeps getting sent back to them with missing info even though I have resubmitted with the information they needed.

They sent me my form B which they are working off and it's incomplete and information is mixed up. So now I'm sending a compelete word document version to them.

They told me they have got rid of the Jotform due to all the issues and are going back to word documents.

This explains the delays in the vetting so you can expect to hear back from HR with Form B issues if you haven't done so already,or maybe you will be lucky!

Thanks, same happened to me, I had to resubmit my form 3 times.. missing info too… it’s very frustrating!

Anyone who was lucky enough to get a place for December is there already or is there any interest in a whatsapp group for people who have accepted an offer

    Hi everyone :)

I sat my interview on the 11th of October. Going by this group everyone seems to got their results after two weeks? It’ll be two weeks tomorrow since I sat mine, is it likely I’ll get results tomorrow or was some waiting longer ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 Sherrdee

    boards_24

    Hi, are you batch 6?
expect tomorrow or Monday, they usually tell you towards the end of the interview.

hi guys, just a quick embarrassing question; what happens if you fail your pct and the repeat test aswell. Failed the pct on sit-ups by 2. I ran out of time. Can I make an appeal, if so how will that work? Will I have to wait to see if they make a decision to grant my appeal? How long will it take to reply back. Thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 23 Darceyrocco

yes I’m batch 5 got told my pct was in two weeks time no times or dates to pick from , don’t feel I’m ready for it but I’ll give it a go .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 Sherrdee

can I ask how did they contact you, by phone or by email ? I’m batch 5, I have a missed call from an 1800 number but can’t dial it back🙈

I wouldn’t be embarrassed I’m sure we are all in the same boat, ring HRPD and ask them

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 dan90M

    by email in two weeks

  • Registered Users Posts: 111 ✭✭Tra112

I think unfortunately if you fail the PCT and the repeat PCT. That is it. You have to wait for the next recruitment campaign and unfortunately start over again, I don’t think an appeal will help.
I could be wrong in this, maybe someone else on here will advise you too on it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23 Darceyrocco

by email to tell me when I’m

Booked in for pct I always thought I’d get a choice of dates so when I rang girl on phone said no not always your meanth to be available I only got email yesterday and it’s in two weeks .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 Sherrdee

    #Darcyrocco

Had you submitted your form B before PCT offer?
it’s so conflicting as they told me no offer of PCT until they receive a the form B fully completed!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 23 Darceyrocco

Sherrdee no I haven’t got that either , I’ve had no booking form at all

  • Registered Users Posts: 23 Darceyrocco

it normally comes together I think and all I got was email saying I was booked in for two weeks time very strange .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 Sherrdee

Darcyrocco, best of luck in two weeks 🤞

HRPD said this morning that public jobs are meant to issue a link for that form B but I didn’t get it, she said I should get email either today or Monday once the system is updated

  • Registered Users Posts: 23 Darceyrocco

Sherrdee so your waiting on pct , I’d say you will get date next week then !

bigboy24 that happened me I failed the PCT twice on the push ups so what you have to do is email HRM explaining on why they should grant you a third attempt. I did this and my appeal was granted and I passed it on my third attemp thankfully 😅

  • Registered Users Posts: 23 Darceyrocco

@jack I’m delighted to see this that they gave you another chance we’re all

Only human and can have off days I’m

Not confident about mine in two weeks , and I’m glad you got it .

I also did my interview via zoom within the first 2 weeks of October.I received a email stating that all interviews will be finished by end of October 24 and results out then within 2 or 3 weeks after interviews are completed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18 boards_24

I did my interview in the first two weeks of October, rang public jobs asking when results will be out they said they won’t be finished until November 1st and expect to be waiting 3-4 weeks for results ..

Yes I’m batch 5, emailed them today again and they said all information has been updated on HRPD system and to keep an eye on emails. It’s the same answer I got Friday 😏

Got feedback for one correction in August. Batch 3. Rang today and still under consideration. No local interview yet. Lived only here in Ireland and have Dublin airport clearance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 stblue

Batch 5 here, 2 questions..if anyone can help that would be brilliant :)

    1. Do I need an affidavit in my case? my grandfather died in 1980 when my dad was only about 6 years old, I got his DOB, last occupation but no address, so I put unknown in that address box on my form B.
    2. Is there a seperate medical test on the day of the PCT? I've heard of eye tests and hearing tests happening but can't understand if this is something to be done by my own GP before the PCT or one assigned by AGS on the day of the PCT or at a seperate day?

    Thanks in advance!

Batch 5 also, can I ask who sent you the form B and have you a date for your pct?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 stblue

public jobs did, a few days after the interview results came out. And yeah I did, its coming in less than 2 weeks time.

I'm actually surprised it came that fast cause my oom after the interview was in the 200s

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 Sherrdee

sorry about all the questions but did u get interview results on the 7/10.

My oom is a good bit lower after interview, so oom obviously doesn’t matter!!

This is mad as hr saying batch 5 is still under checks 🙈

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,103 ✭✭✭✭billyhead

That form B you got from Public Jobs is just a sample form. The real one is send by Garda HR. The medical is done a different day. You need to book this yourself. Garda HR will let you know when you can book it. I wouldn't get an Affidavit unless they ask for one.

its okay haha, yes I did. I also think oom doesn't seem to matter (maybe it did in the past) but rather they look at your age, location and general attitude.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 stblue

Thanks buddy, regarding the form B, are you sure? I received a link for it from public jobs in the messages section and it looks like the real thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,103 ✭✭✭✭billyhead

Did they not mention on the correspondence it's a sample form so you will know what info to expect to collate for the real one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 stblue

    Nope, here's what it says:

    "

You are now moving into the final elements of the appointments process under the remit of An Garda Síochána.

You are asked to complete a Form B as part of the vetting process. Please see link attached below to access form:
