"Vegatable Patch" weed killer

I have "vegtable patch" I sue the term very loosly. Its got some veg/fruit/herbs in it. However its completely over run with weeds, primarily butter cups. Is there anything i can treat it with the get rid of the weeds and try get back to a fresh start. I assume roundup etc would kill the good stuff as well as weeds.
